Ok, first off, remakes will never be like the originals. "The Beginning" isnt a remake, but its a continuation of the remake. The American audience expects the element of fear and surprise. Thats were there this movie failed. We expect more. We expect something intense. Though the movie fails us in that sense, this movie is still a step up from the remake. Gore is a significant element in a horror movie. This movie surpassess that element. All in all, i give it a 5 out of 10 stars

Yeah I get what you are saying even though I haven't seen that movie yet. Gore isn't all that good all of the time though, although I see that is why you would rate it a 5 out of 10 stars.

This movie lived without a prequel for decades, why all of the sudden is it neccesary to have one?
Some movies demand sequels and remakes due to technology and just plain out demand. I really don't think this was one of them but thats just my opinion. I'm sure someone is reading this thinking i'm an idiot.
